Application Process

 

 

Applying to the I-House

I-House is split between current Georgia Tech students and incoming exchange students. Beginning in their second year, Georgia Tech students are eligible to live in the I-House Living Learning Community. Students must be at least a rising second year student to apply for the Fall semester. Exchange students are also considered for housing in the I-House and have a separate application process.

The I-House Leadership staff will read all applications, selecting the students who best fit our intercultural community.  

 

Students who apply to live at the I-House are not guaranteed a spot.

There are two steps to apply for the I-House. 

Step 1: Complete the application linked hereThe application is currently open for Fall 2019

Stop Here After the I-House deadline we will review all the applications and make the placements. Only move onto Step 2 if you are emailed that you have a place in the I-House.

Step 2: Apply through the Department of Housing. If you are given a place in the I-House you will be sent detailed instructions for completing this application. A housing deposit will be required.

If you do not get a spot in the I-House you may apply to live elsewhere on campus. Please go to housing.gatech.edu to apply.

If you have already lived in I-House, please note that there is a special "returner" application. Please utilize this application here

I House Application Deadline Students will Receive Offers:
Fall Semester: February 24 (11:59pm) February 28
Spring Semester: October 5 November 15

Exchange Student Applicants:

There are two steps to apply for the I-House.

The Exchange Student application is currently OPEN for Fall 2019.
 Don't forget: Only Undergraduate students may apply for the I-House.

Step 2: Apply through the Department of Housing. If you are given a place in the I-House you will be sent detailed instructions for completing this application. A housing deposit will be required.  

Exchange Students: You must be admitted to Georgia Tech before you can complete Step 2. Make sure that you have completed all of the steps at oie.gatech.edu/exchange/apply.

  • Academic Year students (2 semester) who are not offered a spot in the I-House may apply to live at other GT residences, or may live off-campus. If you do not get a spot in the I-House you may apply to live elsewhere on campus. Please go to housing.gatech.edu to apply.
  • Fall and Spring-semester only (1 semester) students who are not offered a spot in I-House may apply to live elsewhere on campus if space exists. Please understand this is not guaranteed. Please email incomingexchange@oie.gatech.edu if you want to request other on-campus housing.
